This week could not pass fast enough for me its game day baby lets get it on!
Wow two great teams here and no huge suprise most people had them in their top three teams going into September. The Hollister to Hollister connection has been pretty much what we thought it would be, as has John Carroll. Joel Skotte is said to be healthy. Last year the Cougars made it to the Semis and lost to Sherwood at McCulloch Stadium. I would really like to see them get it done this year, but I and most others think Coach Geske and the UofM passing game will be too much. Calpreps has Marist winning 34-24 but it will not be that close.
Fifth meeting of Sherwood vs West Albany in six years. Here is some video from 2009 and 2008. I have wondered when West would meet again with Sherwood - Given scheduling, it had to be the playoffs and no better place to meet than in the Semis (OK well ALMOST no better place)! It is also the fifth time West has made the semifinals during the same span. Here is West in the semis vs Mountain View in 2007, the Bulldog's last appearance at McCulloch Stadium. Both teams hang their hats on the running game, and both can stop the run. Both can also pass and indeed the team with the most success passing will be the winner in this one so it is going to come down to the DB play I think the team with the most INTs wins. Calpreps.com has Sherwood by 31-20 hard to argue against it, but besides being a homer alumni I really think the Bulldogs have a good chance in this game - If the D can play disciplined, do their job, fill their gaps, stay home and let the Bowmen O come to them they will be in it at the end - This season has been amazing why stop believing? I'll pick the Dogs by a field goal in OT!
