HH 5A Quarterfinal Predictions

Whatever you think about the OSAA rankings and playoff system, you must admit they got it right with 5A this year - Pretty much the best eight teams are there, I don't hear anyone complaining with how things are lined up going in to the Quarterfinals:

#8 Ashland (8-2) at #1 Sherwood (11-0) -> I've been wrong two weeks in a row about Ashland - I hope they give the Bowmen a challenge, but I don't see Sherwood having much more difficulty than they did with the Griz last year. Who do I want to win: Ashland - Who do I think will win: Sherwood

#5 Bend (8-2) at #4 West Albany (9-2) -> The Bulldogs have already over-achieved - This is the third meeting of WA vs Bend in the playoffs in the short history of 5A, the first at Memorial Stadium - It will be a tough one, good they are at home. My Dawgs will avenge last year's 2OT loss to the Lava Bears. Who do I want to win: West - Who do I think will win: West

#10 Wilsonville (9-2) at #2 Marist (10-0) -> This is by far the toughest competition Marist has seen all year - Definately the Cats will give Marist a better game than most people outside of Wilsonville think, but if I had to put money on it I would go with UofM. Who do I want to win: Wilsonville - Who do I think will win: Marist

#6 Lebanon (8-3) at #3 Mountain View (9-1) -> This one will go to the team with the ball last 9-1 View has to be favored given the weather and being at home - I'm pulling for the Warriors but it sounds like the Cougars are healthy I'm going with the home team. Who do I want to win: Lebanon - Who do I think will win: View
